Assistant Freight Forwarder Frozen

VDH Company continues to grow and we are proud of that. Due to our growth, we are also looking for new Freight Managers to strengthen our team in Moerdijk and who want to embark on a journey with us. For our freezer department, we have a challenging and diverse position, where you mainly work in the office but can also assist the warehouse employees whenever possible. Don’t worry, there is a warm and good atmosphere in the team, so you’ll hardly notice the cold temperatures!

As a Assistant Freight Forwarder Frozen, you are the pivot in the logistics process. Your main task is to ensure that incoming, stored, and outgoing goods are accurately checked, managed, and correctly processed in the system. Thanks to your attention to detail, the logistics flow remains smooth and efficient. Additionally, you act as an important point of contact for the customer. You ensure clear communication and coordination, so all parties involved know exactly what to expect. With your proactive attitude and organizational skills, the entire process runs smoothly. Your daily tasks as a freight forwarder include:

• Managing the storage, handling, and transshipment of frozen goods for the client.

• You check incoming goods and then accurately process them in the system.

• You serve as the central contact point for both the customer and the logistics employees in the warehouse.

• Together with your colleagues, you feel responsible for the entire process.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive freight forwarder who recognizes themselves in the following points:

• At least an MBO-4 or HBO degree in logistics, customs, or similar.

• Affinity with logistics and able to quickly adapt amidst all the chaos.

• Characteristics such as eager to learn, proactive, precise, and stress-resistant.

• Possesses general computer knowledge.

• You can keep a cool head both literally and figuratively, as you work in the freezer.
